People think that harmful radiation could only come from places like Chernobyl or Fukushima — but that couldn’t be further from the truth. For the most part, the risk of being exposed to radiation is all everywhere, and sometimes, it’s in places where you least expect it.
In his video, Neil from EMF Safety Zone investigates a small town in the U.S. with a very dangerous neighbor.

The video is part of EMF Safety Zone’s feature on the dangers of cell towers in a residential neighborhood, which can be watched at Brighteon.com.
In the video, Neil is in McCloud, a small town in northern California, where he finds a cellphone tower in the middle of a residential neighborhood. He calls the site a “crime against humanity,” since it exposes residents to harmful levels of radio frequency (RF) radiation. To note, RF radiation is a type of electromagnetic frequency (EMF) that is usually emitted by cell phones, mobile antennas, broadcast towers, and more. In particular, cell towers also expose people to harmful levels of microwave radiation, which can cause conditions ranging from cataracts and nerve damage to even birth defects and genetic damage.
Those who live close to the cell tower are the most prone to the effects of EMF radiation, says Neil. Using an acoustimeter, he measured an average signal strength of 500 microwatts per square meter and a peak strength of up to 1.5 volts per meter, which is higher than the 0.03–0.04 V/m exposure limit proposed by BioInitiative Working Group. In contrast, the Federal Communications Commission maintains it is “extremely unlikely that a member of the general public could be exposed to RF levels in excess of these guidelines due to cellular base station transmitters.”
This means that nearby houses, some with small children, are exposed to levels above the recommended exposure limits — putting them at risk of various health problems, including:
The harmful effects of cell towers aren’t just limited to areas in close proximity to the structure: The towers can emit high-frequency microwaves that can travel up to 45 miles over level terrain and penetrate brick and metal.
“To me, it’s an absolute crime to have cellphone towers this close to residential neighborhoods,” he stresses.
It’s already happening in other towns across the U.S., with some cell towers hidden in church steeples, gas station signs, and even disguised as palm trees.
For Neil, he hopes that this will raise public awareness on the dangers of cell towers, especially when they are constructed in residential areas.
“Your awareness, my awareness — to become aware and wise about where we’re living, and what’s in our surrounding environment,” he adds. (Related: Large-scale study proves that cell tower radiation causes cancer… where is the apology from the media for years of LYING about it?)
People are exposed to harmful EMF radiation every day, both at home and at work. Here are some tips to reduce or even avoid exposure. (h/t to NaturallySavvy.com)
